What do you think of the a foldable iPhone device. With the smartphone industry changing, the new trending smartphone types are the foldable smartphones, Apple being one of the biggest giants does not want to be left behind. It is reported that Apple has made foldable iPhone prototypes to keep up with the latest trends. While these reports are the kind you have to see to believe, i think it might be 90% true
According to The Information website, two clamshell iPhone foldable prototypes are in the early design stages. This means that we should be expecting the iPhone foldable smartphone to officially hit the market by 2025 – 2026. I know its a bit late, and some of the smartphone’s cousins might been on the market already, but am eager to see how Apple will surprise us this time with their iPhone Foldable device.
Challenges Apple Might Face With A Foldable iPhone
What am also particularly interested in seeing is how Apple will be able to address the challenged that are faced by the already existing foldable smartphones. One main issue, especially on the first Samsung fold , is the annoying gap between the two foldable halves of the smartphone. The other factor will be the pricing. In terms of build and design, i know apple is one of the best, but their devices don’t come cheap, which will include the iPhone foldable smartphones. I am guessing their engineers are having a tough time coming up with features that will be compelling enough for iPhone consumers, at a good price
Not forgetting the power consumption. Foldable devices capabilities are surely known to drain a smartphone’s battery. I don’t know about you, but i love a smartphone whose battery will not drain even before the day ends. It will be interesting to see how Apple will tackle this problem with their iPhone Foldable device.
My Final Thoughts
A good guess for us here at Henittoz Tech, is that their first release will be a foldable iPad. I might be wrong, but what makes me say this is because Apple has been saying that they have been developing a foldable iPad since 2020. So am guessing this would be a great place for them to start.
